Westfield Consulting Limited - Our client, in the Financial Sector (Microfinance Bank) is recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Internal control and Compliance Officer Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Control and Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance, strengthen internal control systems, and support risk management within a fast-paced fintech environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across operations. Develop and implement internal control processes to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks. Conduct periodic compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments. Ensure adherence to AML/CFT regulations, including KYC processes and suspicious transaction reporting (STR). Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities in a timely manner. Identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve processes. Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders where required. Maintain proper documentation, records, and audit trails. Support staff training on compliance policies and internal control procedures.
