Requirements
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Inventory Control & Accuracy:
Maintain precise, up-to-date records of all stock movements (receipts, transfers, issues, and returns) using ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Establish and manage Cycle Counting schedules and coordinate comprehensive periodic physical stock takes.
Investigate variances between physical stock and system records, conducting root-cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts of critical items while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
Define and maintain inventory parameters, including Minimum/Maximum stock levels, Reorder Points (ROP), and Safety Stock.
Warehouse & Stores Management:
Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization using efficient storage methodologies (e.g., ABC analysis, FIFO/LIFO).
Ensure incoming materials are safely offloaded, inspected for quality/quantity against purchase orders, and correctly put away in designated bins.
Oversee the picking, packing, and dispatch of materials for internal production departments or external clients, ensuring high accuracy.
Maintain strict standards of housekeeping, organization, and safety (5S methodology) within the store's area.
Documentation & System Administration:
Process all inventory transactions—such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Requisition Notes (MRN), and delivery notes—accurately and promptly.
Generate regular inventory reports, including stock valuation, slow-moving/obsolete stock analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure strict adherence to internal control procedures, financial audit guidelines, and supply chain compliance protocols.
Supplier & Internal Stakeholder Liaison:
Coordinate closely with Procurement/Purchasing teams to expedite urgent deliveries and resolve discrepancies with suppliers regarding damages or shortages.
Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Operations departments to understand their material forecasts and ensure timely supply.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Inventory Accuracy: 98% match between physical count and system records.
Stockout Frequency: Minimization of production downtime caused by unavailable material.
Inventory Turnover Ratio: Maximizing the efficiency of capital tied up in stock.
Order Fulfillment Cycle Time: Speed and accuracy of internal and external material dispatch.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
